Who We Are

We are a group of beekeepers that are passionate about honeybees and their survival.  We meet every third Thursday of each month to teach about honeybees and the benefits of beekeeping.  We invite the public to attend and participate at each of our meetings.  Also, look for us at public events like County Festivals, the County Fair (stop by and visit our booth), at schools, clubs and other places educating as many as we can about honeybees and their importance.

Mission

Our mission is to share our knowledge and love of honeybees with the community, and to help educate those interested in the craft of beekeeping.  Our goal is to keep learning best management practices within the hive, and to mentor others along their beekeeping journey.  We want to get the community involved by encouraging them to plant pollinator gardens, and educate them on better and wiser ways of using harmful pesticides and weedkillers.  Our message is that the world we live in depends on the existence and survival of pollinators, and we all need to be good stewards in creating and maintaining a healthy environment.

Location

Our Chapter meetings are the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm at the United Presbyterian Church at 415 Pennell St SE in Lenoir.
